The name I want isn't available. How can I file with a similar one?
The purpose of registering your company with a unique name is to avoid confusion both legally and in the mind of the public. When you provide your chosen name during the Gust Launch setup process, Gust will check its availability with the State of Delaware. If it is not available, you will be able to modify it and try again, continuing until you find a unique name.
Note, however, that just because Delaware accepts your company’s legal name as unique, it does not mean that you have the right to use it in commerce. For example, you might be able to incorporate a Delaware company with “MacDonals Burgers, Inc.” as your legal name, but if you tried to operate a restaurant under that name, you likely would run afoul of the federal trademark registered and owned by McDonald’s, Inc.
